We are looking for flexible, hard working and adaptable volunteers that want to work in Western Kenya. Spend between two weeks and six months with us and experience one of the world's poorest, liveliest and friendliest countries.

This is an incredible opportunity to get involved with one of our longest running Responsible Tourism projects. Tucked away in the High Atlas Mountains, we have been supporting the remote community of Tijhza since 2000. After running successful volunteer trips to Tijhza for many years, we have been able to see the benefit our clients' hard work has made to the village and the Berber people and respond to their requests to return each year. On this trip, we enjoy three days project work in Tijhza Valley helping with various schemes as requested by the local Village Association before heading out to one of Morocco's most stunning sights, the Sahara Desert. Whether we are enjoying the immense mountain landscape or walking through the endless sand dunes from Merzouga, we will take home a truly rewarding and unforgettable travel experiences.

The project is focused not only on the long-term reforestation of a badly affected region, but also works with the local community on grassroots involvement and awareness-raising programmes. The project aims to build up bare areas of hillside, which used to be wooded, to protect wildlife and to safeguard the essential water supply to over seven million people, which depends on the protection of the surrounding forest, and is seriously threatened by the environmental impact of such drastic deforestation. It is hoped that reforestation will encourage the indigenous animals back to the area, such as elephant and buffalo, not to mention many bird species. The project was started by local farmers, who also volunteer daily at the project. They will welcome you into their project and their community and they really enjoy meeting people from different cultures!

You'll assist in government schools based in Errachidia where you'll get a true Moroccan experience. Many of the children are from agricultural backgrounds and the opportunity you provide for them to learn English is very valuable, because these children don't have the advantages that children in the more touristy cities have to learn from native English speakers. You can make a huge difference here!

A fantastic opportunity to work hands on with elephants as well as helping an active research team. This project introduces you to the magnificent African Elephant; you will be caring for these animals as well as researching them creating the elephant experience of a lifetime!
