Description

On the day of your kayak experience, you will first meet with one of our experienced guides. Here we will decide which part of the pristine peninsula we should explore. This will depend on a number of factors including weather conditions, movement of the wildlife and the experience level of the paddlers on the day. Then it's into the Landrover Defender as we drive to our kayak launch location. Here your SKOANZ qualified sea kayak guide will give you a safety briefing before teaching you some basic paddling techniques. Now that you are comfortable in your top of the range kayak, it is time to start the adventure. You'll be guaranteed fur seal sightings and chance encounters with other marine life. The focus, however, will be on the fur seal colony. You will be captivated by the everyday activities of the seals as they hunt octopus from the sea floor, bask on the rocks and swim playfully around your kayak.
